A quaint waterfront gem, Sechelt is one of the picturesque coastal communities along the southern section of BC’s Sunshine Coast. With a laid-back charm, the seaside town of Sechelt is one of several eclectic villages dotting the coast and serves as a hub for exploring the Sunshine Coast by seaplane. Our terminal is located in Porpoise Bay beside The Lighthouse Pub in the town of Sechelt.
Seasonal Service Update for Sechelt: As part of our ongoing network review and seasonal demand, Harbour Air has transitioned the Sechelt route to a summer only service. We remain committed to the Sechelt and Sunshine Coast community and are pleased to confirm this summer's flights between Vancouver-Sechelt begin June 26th, 2026, and our Sechelt - Nanaimo service has now resumed. These routes are open and available for booking.
About Sechelt
Sechelt, with a population of about 11,000, is located on the southern Sunshine Coast between the Strait of Georgia and the coastal mountains. It lies within the territory of the shíshálh Nation (Sechelt First Nation), a Coast Salish people who speak she shashishalhem and have lived in the region for thousands of years. The town is uniquely positioned between the Strait of Georgia and Sechelt Inlet, offering ocean views on both sides. At the heart of the Sunshine Coast, Sechelt is surrounded by coastal villages, trails, and beaches. It provides a peaceful setting with easy access to nature, parks, and local shops, making it a popular destination for both visitors and residents.
