**Drivers: Please allow for extra travel time if using Russ Baker Way and check the City of Richmond’s traffic cameras for real-time reports before you go.
Russ Baker Way Repaving Project Begins July 15, 2013
Beginning July 15, Vancouver Airport Authority will repave Russ Baker Way between Miller Road and Inglis Drive. Expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete, the project will ensure that Russ Baker Way remains a safe and reliable road connecting Richmond, YVR and Vancouver.
***Cyclists: For safety reasons, cycling lanes on Russ Baker Way will be closed in either direction during the project, as will Flight Path Park which is also undergoing a facelift this summer. An alternate route connecting Richmond to YVR via Cessna Drive is available.
Expected impact to local traffic includes:
• Reduced speed limits in construction zones
• Cycling lanes closed in either direction
• Intermittent lane closures
To complete the project as safely and quickly as possible, traffic lanes will remain open at all times, as follows:
• Two lanes will operate in each direction during the day (6 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
• One lane will operate in each direction at night (8 p.m. – 6 a.m.)
Thank you for your patience.
