Share the Fare

Showing support to the coastal BC communities who have chosen Harbour Air for over 40 years is what Share the Fare is all about. In 2017 Harbour Air started Share the Fare and has supported several organizations.

We’re sharing and you can too.

In addition to volunteering our time in the communities we serve; every Friday at Harbour Air is a “Share the Fare Friday!” For every Friday passenger flying with us, we’ll donate $1 on your behalf to our carefully selected organizations including The BC Cancer Foundation and Clayoquot Biosphere Trust.

You can help make a difference with a Share the Fare donation of your own on any flight, any day. Ask us how!

About BC Cancer Foundation:

The BC Cancer Foundation believes that together, BC CAN break down cancer.

We are the fundraising partner of BC Cancer. Every dollar we raise stays at BC Cancer to advance research and enhance care for the people of BC and beyond by connecting personalized care, innovative research and opportunities to contribute.

At the BC Cancer Foundation we believe that with your help, BC CAN make a difference in the lives of all British Columbians. We know that one in two people in our province will face cancer in their lifetime and we’re igniting progress to break down cancer, piece by piece, in the labs and clinics. About the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust

The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust (CBT) is a registered charity based on the west coast of British Columbia. Established in 2000, the CBT is the only organization in Canada that is both a community foundation and a UNESCO biosphere region. We pair the spirit of community with the power of a global presence to bring more people together for a shared understanding. Our team works to strengthen the development of all citizens, communities, and the ecosystems on which we all depend, for a future we can all be proud of. Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Centre

The Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Centre will provide a dedicated space for the Biosphere Region to advance sustainable development, conservation, reconciliation, and youth empowerment through education, research, community programming and initiatives.

By providing a permanent space to grow sustainable development programs, we are also building a body of research and scientific work that advances the local, national, and international conservation agenda. The Biosphere Centre will be a central knowledge hub and priority site for sustainability and learning about the abundant biodiversity and rich cultural heritage within the UNESCO designated Biosphere Region.

The Biosphere Centre will:

  • Lead, facilitate, and coordinate sustainable, healthy community and ecosystem initiatives
  • Advance climate action and conservation through research and collaborative partnerships
  • Build a body of research and scientific work that advances sustainable development
  • Implement and educate on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Be a Living Building, a regenerative, self sufficient, inclusive, sustainable building
